About this Product
Spring Pouchong “Bao Zhong” 包種茶
Pouchong is the least oxidized of all the Oolongs (about 8%) and is picked for only three weeks in April making it a highly sort after tea. In fact it is one of the most popular teas in Taiwan. The leaves are long, green and slightly twisted. They produce a yellow liquor (infusion) with a refreshing floral flavour and creamy texture. A must try for any Oolong tea lover!
Bao Zhong translates to ‘wrapped kind’ – this name was given to the tea because traditionally the tea producer would wrap individual packets of tea in paper as it was drying.
50g bag £12.50
100g bag £25.00
200g bag £40.00 (includes a 20% discount)
Tea Origin: Pinglin District, New Taipai, Taiwan
Not to be confused with Rose Pouchong! Many tea companies sell a tea they call ‘Rose Pouchong’. However, these are often black teas with added rose. Our Rose Black tea can be found here!
