Rooibos is grown on South African plantations and has been a popular beverage there for generations. The infusion made from this unusual plant is naturally caffeine free and became very popular mainly for its health benefits. Rooibos contains antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. It’s known for helping with relaxation, clearing the skin and can help with allergies. Rooibos gives a golden-red coloured infusion with a delicate, sweet, slightly nutty flavour and a sweetish aroma.
Origin: South Africa
Preparation: Use freshly boiled filtered water 100°C.
Allow 1 slightly heaped teaspoon of tea for 300ml cup. (roughly 2g)
Infuse 3-5 min. Can be drunk with your choice of milk.
