Tea Origin: Japan
Gyokuro differs from the well known Sencha green tea as it is grown in 90% shade (for 20 days or more) rather than the full sun. This slows the growth of the tea leaves making them darker with a higher content of antioxidants, minerals and vitamins.
Gyokuro translates to “Jade Dew” and is made from a specialised variety of tea bush.
Tasting Notes: The infusion releases a fresh aroma with a delicate slightly sweet, grassy and savoury flavour.
