Mullein Tea

Mullein Tea is a naturally caffeine-free herbal infusion made simply from the dried leaves of the mullein plant.

Mullein has a long history of use in European and North American herbal traditions, particularly during the colder months. These days, it makes a lovely alternative for anyone looking for something uncomplicated, caffeine-free and distinctly herbal.

The flavour is surprisingly gentle. Expect a soft, earthy cup with a mild natural sweetness and subtle grassy notes. There’s none of the bitterness you get from some traditional herbs, making mullein particularly easy to drink on its own.

No elaborate blend here. Just mullein leaves, hot water and five quiet minutes. Sometimes that’s quite enough.

Water: Freshly boiled water (100°C)
Time: 5–10 minutes

Important: Mullein leaves naturally have very fine hairs, so we recommend brewing with a fine tea filter or straining thoroughly before drinking.

Mullein leaves are covered with tiny natural hairs which can be irritating if they end up in your cup. A fine infuser, tea filter or carefully strained brew takes care of them.
