What is Black Matcha?
Ceremonial Black Matcha Powder is made from shade-grown Gyokuro leaves—one of Japan’s most luxurious teas, prized for its mellow umami and smooth sweetness. These leaves are shaded for up to three weeks before harvest to increase L-theanine and chlorophyll, resulting in a uniquely rich flavour.
To create Black Matcha, the Gyokuro leaves are gently toasted, then stone-ground whole. Brewing Instructions
To Whisk (Traditional Hot Preparation):
