We source this tea direct from the Mangalam tea estate in Assam, Northern India. It is produced using the CTC method (cut, tear, curl) where high quality leaves are cut and then rolled into the shape of little granules. They provide a dark mahogany infusion with a rich, malty and exquisitely smooth flavour. Perfect with a dash of milk. The ideal breakfast tea! Our best seller!

Allow 1 slightly heaped teaspoon of tea for 300ml cup.
Infuse for 3-5min. Best drunk with your choice of milk.
About the Mangalam Estate:
The Mangalam Tea Estate is one of India’s finest tea gardens. Founded in the early 70s it is very young compared to other famous Assam gardens. The way the tea plants were planted here is very unique. Using modern cultivating techniques enables the estate to produce a high yield of sublime quality tea. Unlike some teas, where the first flush is considered the best, second flush Assam teas are in high demand for their deep, malty flavours. The Assam Mangalam BPS CL is our best selling breakfast tea with annual sales reaching 1 tonne.
