You can discover our in depth black tea brewing guide to learn how to brew the perfect cup of tea. Use these quick steps to brew the perfect cup:
1–2 teaspoons (2-3g) per cup
200ml of fresh filtered boiled water (100°C)
Steep 3–5 minutes
Enjoy black or with milk
For a teapot, use 1-2 teaspoons per person, 600ml to 1, depending on teapot size, plus one extra teaspoon for the pot. (2 to 3g per person, with an additional 2g for the pot to ensure balance.)
For a stronger cup, use a little more tea and brew for a minute longer. For a lighter cup, simply reduce the leaf and shorten the steeping time. Feel free to experiment to find the balance that makes your perfect cup.
This tea showcases two traditional processing methods, Orthodox leaf for fragrance, clarity and aromatic depth, CTC for brisk strength and a classic Assam Breakfast punch. The result is a balanced loose leaf black tea with both nuance and power.
As a classic black tea, it naturally contains polyphenol antioxidants and a balanced caffeine lift. Many enjoy black tea as a gentler alternative to coffee, supporting alertness and comfort as part of a balanced lifestyle.
Assam, in north-eastern India, is the home of Assam tea, produced from the broad leaf assamica variety of the Camellia sinensis plant. The region’s heavy rainfall, warm temperatures and fertile floodplains help develop the deep, malty profile that distinguishes Assam black tea from lighter, high grown styles.
Every lot chosen for this tea is selected for aroma, structure and consistency, then blended in small batches for dependable flavour and freshness.
